In November 2023, during your fall break, embark on a transformative journey to Mexico City with Teach With Love’s Inaugural Global Mini-Summit, designed for aspiring and current school leaders and educators. This enriching experience will be led by award-winning school leader and Top 10 Global Teacher Prize winner, Nadia Lopez. We've created an experience full of cultural enrichment, innovation, cultural exchanges, collaboration, and a global perspective.
In Mexico City, the heart of the ancient Aztec Empire, we’ll delve into the rich tapestry of non-Eurocentric perspectives, exploring the unique values, beliefs, and customs that have shaped this vibrant metropolis. This transformative approach enables us to engage with the world, expand our horizons, and cultivate a deeper appreciation for the diverse cultures and ways of life that define Mexico's distinct identity. As we navigate the city's dynamic streets and historic landmarks, we will embrace the opportunity for growth and enlightenment, making unforgettable connections with the people and the rich heritage that make Mexico City an amazing place.
The Teach With Love™️ Leadership Summit combines culturally-informed principles and School Leadership professional development throughout. Under the guidance of Nadia Lopez, you will gain invaluable knowledge on school leadership and visit one of Elisa's schools in Mexico City. All participants will receive a copy of Nadia's book, The Bridge to Brilliance, highlighting the inspiring story of a principal who opened a school to close a prison. Taína Benítez, a certified cultural intelligence facilitator and CEO of Teach With Love, will equip you with the tools for culturally-informed leadership, ensuring that the different facets of the school environment—community, staff, stakeholders, and students—are nurtured in a way that is sensitive to cultural contexts.
Our theme is centered around seeking knowledge through ongoing, hopeful inquiry with the world and each other, as proposed by Paulo Freire, the author of Pedagogy of the Oppressed. Throughout the Mini-Summit, we aim to immerse ourselves in every experience, expand our cultural understanding, forge meaningful connections, and return home with a renewed commitment to using L.O.V.E.™️ as the foundation for culturally-informed leading.

Accommodations and In-country transportation is included in all packages. We’ll send you instructions on obtaining your travel insurance. You’ll book your own flights (see FAQs) but we can hold your hand and help you choose the best flight!

100% of proceeds go to helping our (women and BIPOC owned) organization’s mission to elevate underserved educators by developing new leadership where none existed and to give opportunities to underserved students to travel the world. We’re funded through sponsors and our Immersive Program Trips that serve ALL educators of all Races, Ethnicities, Genders, etc. (See our TWL mission for more info.)
