In July of 2022, join a small group of teachers in an authentic cultural immersion trip to Switzerland with its shimmering, gatorade blue waters and white capped Swiss mountains. Switzerland is a country that truly inspires awe and nurtures the soul. From gorgeous Lake Lucerne, thought to be the inspiration for Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata," to the Top of Europe Swiss Alps, where you follow in the steps of James Bond from the 1968 film "On Her Majesty's Secret Service". The country's natural wonders are, indeed, wonders.
Magnificent views are everywhere you look. At Lucerne, board the world's steepest cogwheel railway to Pilatus Kulm for spectacular views of the Alps. Take a private boat ride on one of the country's thousands of lakes and rivers. Stroll along the lakeshore with our own exclusive TWL Swiss guide, stopping to breathe in the fresh, crystal-clear air.
But Switzerland is more than beauty. Its storied history is evident in the ancient ramparts and medieval Hofkirche in Lucerne and in Bern's 5th-century gothic cathedral. It’s also visible in the 1,000 year old public school that we will be visiting and walking in the same historic halls as the famous former teacher, Friedrich Nietzsche, and where the greatest mathematician Leonhard Euler (the inventor of the number e for logs) once was a pupil. Visit a clockmaker in Bern, the country's vibrant capital. Sneak a bon bon on a visit to a famous Cailler Swiss chocolate factory. Let us immerse you in a Swiss culture that intrigues and delights in unforgettable ways.
The trip’s informal theme is “fewer things, better.” Your leaders are Angela Watson and Taina Benitez. You’ll get a copy of Angela Watson's newest book by that same title. The principles will be woven into our entire approach for the trip. The Teach With Love culturally informed principles will be woven into our entire approach for the trip. Our vibe will be to “seek patience and passion” (Maya Angelou), and being present in each experience where you will expand your cultural knowledge, and gain personal and professional breakthroughs while establishing meaningful relationships with other teachers and forever friends!

Register by clicking on a trip image below. Space is very limited. The deposit to book is $150-350. Balance can be paid in monthly installments, in full or can be fully customized for you.

Once your registration is complete, you will receive an invite to login to your account (or for quicker access, click ‘Login’ on top right of our website). Your exclusive TWL account is where you will have a plethora of information at your fingertips, you will get to attend our fun virtual events and also meet your fellow teacher travelers!

Plan Your Program
Accommodations and In-country transportation is included in all packages. We’ll send you instructions on obtaining your travel insurance, visas and list of vaccinations, if applicable. You’ll book your own flights (see FAQs) but we can hold your hand and help you choose the best flight!

We'll keep you in the loop on what to bring, helpful resources, monthly tips + tricks, and any other fun updates between registration and our TWL program trip finally begins!

Dinner
The Cultural Celebration Dinner, which is a home-cooked traditional Swiss family-style meal, cooked by our TWL partner and friendly hosts, is included. All Lunches during trip and other Dinners not included.
Welcome Reception
Orientation and meet your leaders and fellow travelers.
Ground Transportation
All Ground Transportation in Switzerland with the group, including Airport pickup/drop-off --Does not include Ubers or Taxis.
Sightseeing
All culturally immersive, re-energizing and inspirational visits in our itinerary (see below). Our TWL Swiss friends were born and raised in Switzerland and will be with us everyday.

Day 1: July 16 - Overnight in Zurich
Welcome to Zurich, the largest city in Switzerland. Arrive and transfer to your hotel located next to the airport

Day 2: July 17 - Overnight in Berne
Early Breakfast at hotel
Leave to Berne, the beautiful drive will take your breathe away
Sightseeing city walking tour with our exclusive Swiss TWL partner. Tasting chocolate, Berne-Beer, Best Swiss Ice Cream, Rosengarden, hike along torquiest river
Switzerland Museum / Free Time in evening
Overnight in Berne
Day 3: July 18 - Overnight in Berne
Visiting a traditional Swiss family farm in the Alps, watch how they make Swiss Cheese, cheese tastings, 1 hour hike
Visit to Infamous Cailler chocolate factory in Broc. Chocolate factory tour

Visit Ballenberg Swiss open air museum, several workshops
Day 5: July 20 - Overnight in Berne

Free Day in Berne: Optional: Infamous Berne shopping in historic downtown, Swiss bowling, shop for classroom books, train rides + lots to do!
Optional side trip: The village of Lauterbrunnen, set in a valley featuring rocky cliffs and roaring Falls everywhere you turn.
Cultural Celebration Dinner: Home-cooked Swiss traditional family meal with our Swiss friends!
Day 8: July 23 - Overnight in Zurich
Site seeing in Lucerne (free time for shopping…known for Swiss watches and Swiss army knives)
