Britt Hawthorne (she/they) is a nationally recognized antiracist and anti-bias educator, speaker, and activist.

She provides antiracism workshops and anti-bias training for parents and educators in-person and online. Her anti-oppression work moves the idea of racial justice to reality and practice. Committed to centering and affirming people of the global majority, Britt helps families navigate the world of antiracist parenting. Through partnering with action-oriented educators, she creates classroom environments that are inclusive and equitable for all learners. In addition to speaking at workshops and conferences, Britt fosters a growing grassroots community of over 85K readers on Instagram, reimagining how educational spaces can create a stronger antiracist democracy.

Britt is committed to raising a generation of antiracist children by centering families of the global majority and fostering equitable learning environments for students and children of all ages and backgrounds. Britt’s work moves the idea of equity in education from a goal to reality. She partners with action-orientated educators to create classroom environments that are inclusive and equitable for all learners.

Britt was an antiracist educator in the classroom but was pushed out of teaching when her two Black sons experienced educational racism. Now, as an anti-racist facilitator, she creates spaces where the intersection of education and social justice may be explored.
