Roberto Germán | Author, Podcaster, Edu Consultant

Roberto (he/him) is a former principal and co-founder of @MulticulturalClassroom. Roberto co-led a movement in his district that became the beginning of a writing revolution that inspired young people to find their voices through the arts, particularly spoken word poetry and rap. Today, Roberto supports teachers in developing an ABAR approach within schools, youth, and community organizations. Roberto recently published a Young Adult Poetry book called “Blue Ink Tears.”

His wife and fellow TWL Leader, Lorena German, a two-time nationally awarded teacher, is the author of The Anti-Racist Teacher and her newest book, Textured Teaching (available now!)

In sharing her teaching experiences through the lens of a BIPOC Teacher and trainings on Culturally Sustaining Practices, she has inspired thousands of teachers from around the world! When not working for Multicultural Classroom, Lorena is Chair of the National Council of English Teacher’s Committee Against Racism and Bias in the Teaching of English and co-founder of #DisruptTexts. She’s also the Director of Pedagogy @Educolor

Together, Lorena and Roberto provide actionable steps on building a LOVE for teaching ALL students.

Lorena and Roberto love to travel and are excited to learn with our Teach With Love Educators. They've been to Dominican Republic, Mexico, Jamaica, and many states throughout the United States.
